Who we are
SocialChicken is a consulting practice founded and operated by Christiaan Verhoef, based in the Netherlands. We provide agile working training, innovation consulting, and serious games and simulations to organisations worldwide.
For the purposes of this policy, SocialChicken is the data controller for personal information you provide to us.

What data we collect and why
We collect only what is necessary to respond to your enquiries and deliver our services. Specifically:
- ●Contact form submissions: Your name and email address when you send us a message or request a discovery call. We use this to respond to you and, if we agree to work together, to manage our engagement.
- ●Email correspondence: Any information you share with us by email in the course of discussing a project or engagement.
- ●Usage data: This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of their infrastructure. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or behavioural profiling tools on this site.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of:
- ●Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): responding to your enquiry and managing our working relationship.
- ●Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): where we have agreed to deliver services to you or your organisation.
We do not send marketing emails. We do not use your contact details for any purpose other than the reason you provided them.
How long we keep your data
We keep contact enquiries for up to 12 months after the last communication. Data related to completed engagements is retained for up to 7 years to meet Dutch legal and tax record-keeping requirements, after which it is securely deleted.
Third-party services
This website uses Google Fonts, which loads fonts from Google's servers. When a page loads, your browser makes a request to Google and your IP address is logged by Google as part of this. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
No other third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising trackers, or social media pixels are installed on this site.
Cookies
This site does not use tracking cookies or store persistent data in your browser beyond what is necessary for the site to function during your visit. No cookie consent is required.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
